Corona virus: wearing a mask compulsory on leaving home in Mumbai, case will be filed under IPC for violation : 

In view of the rising outbreak of Corona virus, the Maharashtra government has made it mandatory for those outside the home in Mumbai to wear masks. The BMC, while issuing the order, has made it clear that action can be taken against those who do not come out wearing masks under section 188 of IPC. Let the BMC’s order come after the statement of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, in which he appealed to the people of Mumbai to come out of the house wearing masks.

Amid the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that sorry for the inconvenience caused by the bandh but we have no other option. Uddhav Thackeray said that I have been receiving news from around the world through news channels that things have returned to normalcy in Wuhan (China) and restrictions are being lifted. This is good news. This means things can get better over time.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people that when they get out of the house, they must wear masks. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray appealed to retired military personnel who have experience in the medical field, nurses, ward boys and said that Maharashtra needs you. Please tell that Maharashtra is at the top of the corona virus patients at present compared to other states.

On Wednesday, 60 new cases of corona virus were reported in Maharashtra and with this the number of people suffering from this epidemic in the state now stands at 1,078. A Health Department official said that out of 60 new cases, 44 cases have been reported in Mumbai, nine in Pune, four in Nagpur and one each in Ahmednagar, Akola and Buldhana. The official said that there were reports of 60 people getting corona infected in the state today. So far 64 people have died due to this viral epidemic in the state.
