Spectator entry for Twenty20 World Cup !
Assurance of Cricket Australia’s Acting CEO Nick Hawley.
If 15 teams are allowed to come to Australia for the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup, spectators will also be allowed to enter the stadium, Cricket Australia’s acting chief executive Nick Hawley said on Saturday.
Cricket Australia has suffered huge financial losses due to the corona, and Kevin Roberts resigned as chief executive a few days ago. Hawkley, who has been appointed to the post on a seasonal basis instead, said fans would definitely be admitted if the World Cup were held.
“If the ICC allows the hosting of the World Cup, the main challenge for us will be to ensure the health of the managers and other staff, including the players from the 15 teams. But if players from 15 teams come to Australia, we can’t stop the spectators from entering the stadium, “said Hawkley. Hawkley is currently the CEO of the Twenty20 World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has postponed its decision on the World Cup until next month.
“The idea of playing cricket without spectators is really weird. There is also a fear that if a big tournament like the World Cup is played without fans, the standard of the tournament will be degraded. So if the ICC allows the World Cup, we will start preparing more vigorously. Cricket Australia will do its best to ensure that at least 50 per cent of the stadium’s capacity is reached, “said Hawkley. The future of the Indian Premier League (IPL) depends on the final decision on the World Twenty20 to be held in Australia from October 18 to November 15. Huckley said he had no idea who would be chosen as Cricket Australia’s chief executive. “Cricket is highly respected in Australia. So I was surprised by the sudden appointment of Cricket Australia CEO. My responsibilities have now increased and I look forward to making an impact in the short term, “said Hawkley.
Players must arrive in Australia a month in advance!
Hockley has demanded that players from all teams arrive in Australia at least a month in advance if the World Cup is to go ahead as scheduled. “In post-Corona cricket, the health of the players has always been a top priority. Therefore, the health of the players will be checked before the start of the tournament. They will also have to be separated for 15 days. We will be relieved if players from all teams arrive in Australia at least a month in advance for this process, “said Hawkley.
