Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Virtual Conference of Non-Aligned (NAM) countries on Monday. The conference was held about the threat posed by global infection of corona virus. In the conference, Prime Minister Modi said, we have ensured medical supplies in 123 countries of the world, including 59 non-aligned nations.
The Prime Minister said, if people adopt simple Ayurvedic home remedies, their immunity can increase. In this sequence, the Prime Minister also mentioned terrorism and without naming Pakistan, said that some people are engaged in spreading deadly virus, fake news and fake videos of terror.
Prime Minister Modi said, in such a time of crisis, we should focus more on the welfare of the people and not on economic growth. Non-aligned countries should appeal to the World Fraternity and the World Health Organization to increase the capacity of health in developing countries. Now is the time to work together and support each other.
The Prime Minister said, India is considered the pharmacy of the world. We also have our own needs but despite this we have ensured the supply of medicine in 123 countries. It also includes 59 non-aligned countries.
Non-Aligned member countries are also struggling with the Corona infection. At the conference, discussions were held to increase cooperation between the NAM member countries in the war with Corona and to find a cure. Inaugurating the conference, President Ilham Aliyev welcomed member nations for social and humanitarian cooperation to prepare medical databases among non-aligned countries to fight the Corona epidemic and to rid people of the disease.
At the meeting, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani thanked the President of Azerbaijan for organizing the Non-Aligned Conference. Ghani also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi who organized the SAARC conference on Corona. He said that such a meeting is the need of the hour.
Ghani urged the Taliban to abjure violence. At the same meeting, EU Vice President Joseph Borel said that we have to fight against Corona faster than ever before. He urged countries to come together on the Paris Treaty. He appealed to create a better world for tomorrow. To save the people from this epidemic, unitedly called for action against it.
At the same meeting, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Adhamon Tedross said that mutual cooperation between countries will have to be increased between the corona epidemic. Government and private organizations will have to work on one platform. He said that at such a time, the role of Non-Aligned Movement becomes very important. There is a need to further improve the war against Corona.
This movement of non-aligned countries plays an effective role in determining the direction of the world. However, a few years ago, its strength was even greater. NAM is the second largest political organization after the United Nations. 120 developing countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America are associated with it.
In this online conference on Corona, the members of the Non-Aligned Movement discussed the topic of ‘solidarity against Kovid-19’. The member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement considered how to increase mutual cooperation in the war against Corona and how to find a cure for this disease that emerged as a crisis in front of humanity.
