Raj Thackeray writes letter Uddhav Thackeray…

Raj Thackeray writes letter Uddhav Thackeray to          Allow liquor sales in Maharashtra for revenue,

In a letter to his cousin, CM Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray offered suggestions on how the state, reeling under the outbreak, could generate a revenue of Rs 41 crore in a day and Rs 1,250 crore in a month, through excise duty. The letter clarified that the suggestion was not for the benefit of ‘liquor lovers’, but for the much needed generation of revenue.
The letter further said that the state should not get ‘caught up’ in ‘moral issues’ at such a crucial time, and initiate necessary decisions. “Let’s face reality and find solutions,” said Raj. Expressing concern about the state’s revenue, MNS chief Raj Thackeray suggested allowing the sale of liquor and wine to ensure revenue is generated through excise duty, as every other industry is shut.
