Lockdown India: Modi government’s big decision, extended lockdown till May 17, know what will be closed and what will remain open

New Delhi : In view of the continuous increase in the number of corona virus patients in the country, the central government has decided to increase the lockdown by 2 weeks. The Union Home Ministry has released a new guide line regarding the lockdown on Friday evening. Under this, the lockdown period has been extended till May 17 in the country. According to the new guide line, there will be a complete lockdown in the red zone districts. At the same time, some relief will be given in the Green Zone, but the movement from Green Zone to Red Zone will be strictly prohibited. Let us know that the lockdown 2.0 was scheduled to end on May 3.

They will be completely closed in the country :                                                                                                    According to the new guide line of the Ministry of Health, some activities will be closed in all zones across India. Under this, public places like schools, colleges and other educational and training / coaching institutes, cinema halls, malls, gyms, sports complexes, malls, hotels, restaurants, pubs and gyms will remain completely closed. At the same time, pregnant women and patients suffering from severe illness in any zone in the country will be prohibited from leaving the house. Apart from this, children younger than 10 years and above 65 years of age will be prohibited from leaving the house, i.e., people from 10 to 64 years will be able to get out of the house by wearing masks.

Travel restriction :                                                                                                                                                                    There will be a ban on movement by air, rail, metro and road in other states in the country. However, the use of road, rail and airways will be permitted with the permission of the Ministry of Home Affairs for special purposes. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also advised people not to go out for non-essential work from 7 pm to 7 am.

This discount will be available in the green zone :                                                                                                         All major economic activities in the Green Zone have been exempted. According to the latest order, buses will be able to run in Green Jones, but the capacity of the buses will not exceed 50%. That is, if a bus has 50 seats, it will not have more than 25 passengers. Similarly, not more than 50% of the employees will work in Depo. Institutes that provide essential services and goods, including barber shops, salons, will also open in the districts of the Green Zone from May 4.

  1. As per the ministry’s guide line, taxi and cab aggregators have been allowed in the Orange Zone. Under this, only one driver and one passenger will be allowed in a four wheeler. At the same time, only one person will be allowed to go on a two wheeler.
  2. All major economic activities in the Green Zone have been exempted. Offices and factories are allowed to start with the conditions. For example, social distancing will have to be taken care of in these offices and factories. In addition, the workplace has to be periodically sanitized.
  3. All industrial and construction activities in rural areas of the Green Zone, including MGNREGA works, food processing units and brick and kilns have been permitted in the guidelines.

Lockdown issued in the country from 25 March :                                                                                                         Let us tell you that the first nationwide lockdown of 21 days was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The first lockdown ran from 25 March to 14 April. After this, the lockdown of 19 days from 15 April to 3 May was also announced by PM Modi. However, this time the lockdown has been announced through the Ministry of Home Affairs.

How many patients in the country so far :                                                                                                           Corona virus cases are increasing everyday in the country. According to the Health Ministry, by 6 pm on Friday, the number of infected people in India has risen to 35,365, while the death toll has reached 1,152. Apart from this, 9064 people have become healthy and 25148 people are admitted in hospitals due to corona.

Let us know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a high level meeting on Friday. Several officials, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, CDS Bipin Rawat, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, etc. were present in this meeting which lasted about two and a half hours.
