The directive states that all workplaces shall have adequate arrangements for temperature screening and provide sanitisers. “Workplaces shall have a gap of one hour between shifts and will stagger the lunch break…to ensure social distancing,” it added. Large meetings should be prohibited, the directive stated.
Which activities are permitted from April 20 during the extended lockdown?
 Agriculture activities including fisheries and animal husbandry will be operational. MNREGA works will be allowed with social distancing. All goods traffic, shops for truck repairs and highway dhabas are permitted to function. Other activities that are allowed include IT and ITeS with 50% strength, e-commerce companies, and services provided by electricians, plumbers, carpenters and mechanics.

As per government’s guidelines for extended lockdown, from April 20, private vehicles for emergency services, including medical care and for procuring essential commodities will be allowed. One passenger besides driver can be permitted in backseat in 4-wheelers. However, in 2-wheelers, only driver will be permitted. People going to work and back in exempted categories will also be allowed to move.

Govt allows IT, IT-enabled services to function with 50% staff from April 20
The government in its new guidelines released on Wednesday stated that all IT, IT-enabled services will be allowed to function from April 20 with up to 50% strength. “Digital economy is critical to the services sector and is important for national growth. Accordingly, e-commerce operations, operations of IT and IT-enabled services…are all permitted activities now,” the guidelines read.
29 new COVID-19 cases reported in Rajasthan, total cases now 1,034
 Rajasthan Health Department said 29 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the state till Wednesday morning. Out of the 29 cases, 15 are from Jaipur, seven each are from Jodhpur and Kota, the health department added. With these cases, the total number of positive cases in the state has now increased to 1,034, it further said
Not the time to reduce resources: UN chief after Trump halts US’ funds to WHO
 After President Donald Trump halted US funding to the World Health Organization over its handling of corona virus pandemic, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said it “isn’t the time” to reduce resources in the fight against the virus. “Now is the time for unity and for the international community to work together…to stop this virus and its shattering consequences,” he added.
Religious places to remain closed, religious gatherings prohibited till May 3.
 As per the revised guidelines issued for extended lockdown on Wednesday, all religious places will remain closed for public and religious congregations will be strictly prohibited until May 3. In the case of funerals, a gathering of over 20 won’t be permitted for the period, the guidelines read. Wearing face cover has been made compulsory in public places and workplaces.
We shouldn’t be expecting to see COVID-19 vaccine at least for 12 months: WHO 
“We shouldn’t be expecting to see a vaccine against the corona virus at least for 12 months or longer,” World Health Organization (WHO) spokesperson Dr Margaret Harris said on Tuesday. “The overall world outbreak, 90% of cases are coming from Europe and the US. So we are certainly not seeing the peak yet,” Dr Harris added.
