But give priority to saving the lives of the people and reducing the overall death rate, ‘such instructions were given by the central team to the Thane Municipal Corporation. The team also directed all the Municipal Commissioners to increase the number of tests so that the patients can be treated in time.

This morning, the principal secretary of the health department, Dr. In the presence of Pradip Vyas, a team led by Love Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Health, inspected the restricted area in Thane Municipal Corporation area and learned about its implementation. Accompanying him on the occasion were Kunal Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Civil Affairs and Director, Smart City Mission; Dr. Vipin Sharma, Central Director (Health) E. Ravindran and others were present.

Initially, the central team inspected the restricted people at Amritnagar, Inshangar in Mumbra and interacted with the citizens there. After that, Dr. Maulana Abul Kalam visited Kovid Hospital set up at Azad Stadium and sought information from doctors. He then inspected the 1000-bed Thane Covid Hospital at Balkum Saket and expressed his satisfaction.

After the inspection tour, the central team reviewed all the Municipal Corporations in Thane district at the NMC headquarters. After initially reviewing Thane Municipal Corporation, the central team also reviewed Thane District, Navi Mumbai, Mira Bhayander, Kalyan Dombivali, Ulhasnagar, Bhiwandi Nizampur and other Municipal Corporations. At this time, Thane Police Commissioner Dr. Mekhla, Navi Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Annasaheb Misal, Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Commissioner Vijay Suryavanshi, Mira Bhayander Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rathod, Ulhasnagar Municipal Commissioner Dayanidhi etc. were present.

Although the number of corona cases is increasing at present, he suggested that the emphasis should be on reducing the death rate by managing it without panic. Similarly, the capacity of tests should be increased so that the affected people can be treated in time. Love Agarwal also said that they should coordinate with the laboratories that are testing the covid and help them.

Strict enforcement of the restricted area, review of patients admitted to the hospital on a daily basis and those in critical condition and guidance from expert doctors while treating them were also suggested.

The principal secretary of the state health department, Dr. Pradip Vyas spoke on the need to increase the number of quarantine facilities, conduct large-scale contact tracing, maintain cleanliness of public toilets and increase the number of tests.
