Bandra Incident: BJP MP said- Check how did this rumor spread
Poonam Mahajan, National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha and MP from Mumbai North-Central, has claimed that people had received the message of opening of the train.
Mumbai : In the evening, thousands of migrant laborers suddenly gathered in Bandra railway station. After the lockdown period was over, they all wanted to return to their homes. Poonam Mahajan, National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha and MP from Mumbai North-Central, has claimed that people had received the message of opening of the train. It should be investigated. After all, who sent this message and how did this rumor spread.
Devendra Fadnavis said- the incident is very serious
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the incident in Bandra was very serious. We are telling the government from day one that the government will have to make arrangements for the migrant laborers who do not have ration cards. The government has failed to make this arrangement. In such a place like Bandra, workers gather on such a large scale under the government’s nose and say that either give us food or let us go back. I request the government to first take care of such people.
The most corona positive cases in India are coming from Maharashtra. At such a time, such a mob in Mumbai is the failure of the government and administration there. After the announcement extension of lock down, the Maharashtra government or the administration could not give assurances to the laborers due to which thousands of migrant laborers united there.
Amit Shah called Uddhav and expressed concern.
The center has taken seriously the gathering of thousands of migrants near Mumbai’s Bandra railway station during the lockdown. Home Minister Amit Shah himself expressed concern over the incident over phone to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and assured all possible help from the Center. Shah told Uddhav that if there was any atrocity at any level, the fight against Corona would be weak and the entire country would pay its fine. Keep in mind that in the past, a similar crowd had gathered at Pune railway station and the apprehension deepened. This time the same incident happened in Mumbai and social distancing took place.
Rumor in Mumbai was like Delhi.
Even earlier, when the 21-day lockdown was announced on March 24, thousands of laborers gathered at Anand Vihar in Delhi. On many highways of the country people started walking for their home, hundreds of kilometers away on foot. When they were asked why these people were leaving, everyone had almost the same answer that now we do not have work, we cannot live in expensive city without work.
At that time there was a rumor in Delhi that UP Roadways buses are located in the UP border with which they can go home, but it was not so. And then these migrant laborers gathered at Anand Vihar itself. Later, CM Yogi immediately arranged buses and transported them to their homes.
PM Modi also gave advice to avoid rumors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 10 am on Tuesday and announced to increase the lockdown in the country by 3 May. In his address, the PM had advised the people of the country to avoid rumors. But the Mumbai incident has shocked everyone.
