Corona virus: Corona virus kills 56 railway workers.

343 employees have recovered and 112 employees are affected.

Mumbai: It has come to light that 56 railway employees have died due to corona so far. This includes the maximum number of 43 employees of Central Railway and the rest of the employees belong to Western Railway.

In addition to the Central and Western Railways, West Central Railway and North Frontier Railway employees were among those affected by the corona in Mumbai. The number of railway security personnel, loco pilots and technical staff affected by the corona was around 520.

Of these, 343 employees have recovered and 112 employees are suffering from coronary heart disease. According to information received from the Railways, the staff at Jagjivanram Hospital in Mumbai are undergoing treatment. As on June 2, 10 Central Railway and three Western Railway employees were reported dead. The increase in deaths in just 17 days is a matter of concern for the railway administration.
