7th Pay Commission: The government has cut 7 types of allowances. This will save Rs 1200 to 1500 crores every year.

7th Pay Commission: Uttar Pradesh government has given a big blow to its employees in the difficult times of corona virus and lockdown. The government has put scissors on various allowances of 16 lakh employees. After this, the salary of the employees will be reduced from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000. Altogether 7 types of allowances have been reduced. Let me tell you, three weeks ago, the Yogi government had banned DA allowance of these employees. The government says that due to corona virus and lockdown, the state’s economic health has been affected, so this step has to be taken. In this way, the government will save 1200 to 1500 crores every year.

According to the information, this decision was taken in the Yogi cabinet, after which the Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Sanjeev Mittal issued the order.

Which allowances were cut : The allowances that have been reduced include Secretariat Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Research Allowance, Orderly Design Allowance, I&P Allowance and Encouragement Allowance. Under secretariat allowance, the amount ranges from Rs 625 to Rs 2000. About 10 thousand employees in UP get this amount. Similarly, all 16 lakh employees get city compensation allowance. 340 rupees to 900 rupees are given under this. PWD employees receive research and orderly design allowance, which has been reduced.

Jerk jerk : This is the second time government employees in UP have been hit like this. Earlier on 24 April, the government decided to abolish the 6 allowances by 31 March 2021. It was then said that this would put a minimum burden of Rs 24000 crore on the government exchequer.
