Hyundai Creta received more than 20,000 bookings,Starting Price 9.99 Lakhs, inspite of lockdown.

By the time the lockdown started in March, it had received 18 thousand bookings, the company has launched it in 5 variants and 3 engine options.

Hyundai’s Creta is among the country’s most popular SUVs. Now New Generation Creta has received more than 20,000 bookings. During the lockdown, where the auto industry is seen on backfoot, these figures are a relief for Hyundai. Actually, not a single car of any company has been sold in the country in April. The booking received by Creta makes it clear that whenever the lockdown opens within the country, then its demand will remain. Explain that the lockdown has been extended till May 17 in some places within the country.

In the lockdown too, the popularity of the Creta has not been reduced, Hyundai Motor India Director (Sales, Marketing and Service) Tarun Garg said, ‘We have got about 20,000 bookings for the Creta. By the time the lockdown started, 18,000 bookings had been received. The good thing is that its popularity did not decrease even during lockdown. I am happy to say that out of the total bookings we have received in lockdown, 75 per cent is from Creta only. The company started booking the new Creta on March 2 with a payment of 25 thousand rupees. Its ex-showroom price ranges from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 17.20 lakh.

Hyundai’s engine variant New Creta five variants E, EX, S, SX, SX (O). It has three engine options. The first 1.5-liter petrol engine generates 113bhp of power and 144Nm of torque. It also comes with automatic transmission. The second 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine generates 138bhp of power and 242Nm of torque. The third 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine generates power of 113bhp and torque of 250Nm. All three engines are equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
