Cooking oil affects your health, do you use the right Oil?
Each oil has different ingredients and according to that it is very beneficial for health.
Olive oil – the most widely used oil, you can use it in any food. Extra virgin olive oil is considered healthy. This helps in lowering blood pressure and reducing inflammation. It also reduces the risk of heart disease. It is rich in antioxidants, which do not harm the cells.
Sunflower Oil – Sunflower oil is rich in vitamin E, so it is used in cosmetics. This oil is a mixture of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Its components remain intact even after heating. Therefore, this oil is mostly used for frying. Diabetics, however, should be careful, as consumption of this oil can increase sugar levels.
Mustard oil – Do not use mustard oil for medium hot foods. But this oil is great for deep frying.
Sesame oil – Sesame oil comes in two colors, light and dark. Both types of oils contain polyunsaturated fats, which include magnesium, copper, calcium, iron, and vitamin B6. However, do not overheat the oil. Do not use for frying. You can use dark colored oil for marinating and stir fries.
Peanut oil – If you want to use peanut oil, use cold press oil instead of refined. It is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, which protect your heart. It is mostly used in hot foods.
Coconut oil – not as healthy as you think. It contains saturated fat, which raises the level of bad cholesterol in the body, which is not good for the heart. In addition, it does not contain vitamins and minerals.
