This year Mount Everest…
This year Mount Everest too is in isolation
The government of Nepal issues a 75-day climbing permit every year, which generates huge revenue for the government. It was estimated that 20 lakh tourists would come this year, which means that the revenue from hotels, airlines, travel, trekking expeditions and food and drink will go down by at least Rs 9,000 crore. As a result, 11 lakh jobs are in crisis. Sherpas in Nepal look forward to these 75 days of the year as they earn their living on these days. Now these Sherpas have turned to agriculture. Due to Corona, the axe of unemployment has fallen on about 3,000 Sherpas in Nepal.
