Varanasi: No cure has yet been found for the deadly corona virus. Also, the test results of coronary blockage are being delayed due to reliance on foreign kits. Another heartening news has come from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency when a woman doctor from Pune made a corona test kit in two-and-a-half hours. The women scientists there have made a kit to test the corona in just over an hour.

Importantly, the cost of this kit will be less than half that of a foreign kit. Three female researchers from Kashi Hindu University in Varanasi have worked day and night to make this kit. The Indian Patent Office has also approved the patenting of this kit within 24 hours. As a result, the kit is expected to hit the market soon. This was reported by NBT.

Geeta Rai, a professor in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at BHU’s Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), has developed a technique that gives 100% accurate results of Covid-19 with the help of research students in her laboratory. This technique is based on the protein structure of the corona virus. This is the first kit of its kind developed in the country. This technique prevents misreporting from small PCR machines. Dolly Das, Khushboo Priya and Heeral Thakkar have also helped in this research.

Geeta Rai has urged medical companies to take initiative for the production of this kit. He also said he would receive the patent within a week. Apart from this, discussions have also been held with some research institutes of the Central Government and their help has also been sought.
