Lockdown yields positive results, saves thousands of lives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the Corona and the lockdown. The opinion of the chief ministers was taken when this is the last week of the lockdown. The discussion took place between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Ministers via video conference. Modi claimed that the country has benefited a lot from the lockdown. At the same time, he expressed concern about the economy, saying that we now need to give more importance to the economy with the Corona virus.

PM Modi said the lockdown had yielded positive results and had saved thousands of lives in the last one and a half months. Now that the red, orange and green zones have been declared, Modi said that now we have to move from the red zone to the orange and finally to the green zone. On the issue of repatriation of Indians stranded abroad, Modi said the move would have to be taken with utmost care as care would be taken to ensure that none of his family members were affected by the influx of foreigners.

The virtual meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan. The chief ministers who joined him included Arvind Kejriwal, Uddhav Thackeray, Palaniswami, Sangma, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Yogi Adityanath. The Kerala Chief -Minister was not present at the meeting and said that only nine Chief Ministers were given the opportunity to attend the meeting. However, the video conference was joined by Kerala Chief Secretary Tom Jose and Additional Chief Secretary Vishwas Mehta.

While Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recalled his students from Rajasthan’s kota to Madhya Pradesh, he was questioned why the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh was allowed to do so, saying there needed to be a policy on the matter. The students are in many states but at the same time the workers are also trapped. How can you allow the Madhya Pradesh government to bring back students from the kota if there is a ban on moving from one state to another at present?
