178 patients died in 24 hours in Corona Kaher / Maharashtra, 30,125 recovered in Mumbai.
Mumbai: As of 8 am on Monday, a staggering 178 patients had died in Maharashtra, including 68 in Mumbai. The number of patients and deaths are increasing especially after the government unlocked-1. In the last 24 hours, 1067 new cases have been registered in Mumbai. 68 patients have died. With this, there have been 59,293 cases in Mumbai so far, of which 26,910 are active cases, while 2259 have died. In Maharashtra, 2786 cases have been registered, while 178 patients have died, which is the highest number to date. With this, the number of patients in the state has gone up to 1,10,744, with 50,554 active cases, while the death toll has risen to 4,128.
One thing that was good today was that 5071 patients were discharged on recovery, which is 56,069 in Sankhya state. The number of recoveries in Mumbai has risen to 30,125. The recovery rate in Mumbai is 60.80 per cent and in the state it is 50.61 per cent. The death toll is 3.79 per cent in Mumbai and 3.72 per cent in the state.
Government hides figures: Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Devendra Fadnavis on Monday wrote a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray saying that an attempt has been made to hide the deaths of more than 950 crore in Mumbai by not complying with the central ICMR norms, which could prove fatal and dangerous. Covid’s case has been made non-covid by putting pressure on the death audit committee formed by the corporation, who should be investigated.
3 more policemen killed in Mumbai
Meanwhile 3 more police personnel have been killed. So far, 29 police personnel in Mumbai and a total of 43 in Maharashtra have died due to Covid-19, while 227 police personnel in Maharashtra have tested positive for the epidemic in the last 72 hours. The total number of active cases of Kovid-19 among police personnel in the state is currently 1388.
